Unlike simple paint or stain, Waxcoat forms a water-repellent surface finish that helps timber cope with moisture in the outdoor environment and keeps it looking good for longer.
Waxcoat is a concentrated wax-based coating formulated to protect external timber surfaces against moisture ingress and help slow down weather-related wear. It creates a protective barrier on the surface of wood to help repel rain and reduce swelling, cracking or warping over time.
It’s often recommended as part of aftercare for timber fencing, garden sheds and outdoor structures, especially in climates with frequent wet weather
Water Repellence
Once applied and dried, the wax-based coating helps repel water droplets on timber surfaces, reducing the chance of moisture soaking in. This can help protect against swelling and movement of the wood.
Protection Against Weathering
In outdoor settings, timber is exposed to rain, UV light, wind and temperature changes. Waxcoat adds an extra layer of defence, helping timber maintain appearance and structural integrity.
Enhances Appearance
Unlike some thick paints, wax-based finishes can enhance the natural grain of the wood, giving a more attractive finish while still providing protection
Easy to Apply
Waxcoat is typically applied with a brush in multiple coats. It dries to a clear or lightly tinted finish that helps waterproof and protect external wood.
